Communication Arts 200: Introduction to Digital Communication (Fall 2013)

About the Course

The course aims to introduce students to key concepts in digital communication by working through three key course questions:
  1. What is digital technology?
  2. What is the nature of rhetoric online?
  3. How do text, speech, visual, and auditory components of rheotric work in relationship to each other?
Students practice communicating online in a variety of modes and contexts, including both textual and video. By the end of the course, students will be able to critical interrogate the implciations of technology for public communication and effectively engage in their own communication in online contexts.
